Rules for Supervising Graduate Students at the Hebrew University
These bylaws are intended to regulate the rights and duties of advisors and of students conducting research under their supervision, in the writing of an MA/MSc and PhD thesis. The provisions in the present bylaws are subject to the provisions of the Teaching and Learning Procedures and of the Regulations for Research Students. In any case of discrepancy, the provisions of the other regulations shall apply.

Regulations for Appointments and Promotions
The following regulations detail the procedures for appointments and promotions of the academic staff at the Hebrew University. It details the bodies responsible of those procedures, and their operation way.
REGULATIONS GOVERNING POST-DOCTORAL STUDENTS
These regulations specify the conditions for admission to post-doctoral studies, scholarship receiving and defining the status of the trainee and the duration of the study period
REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) AND ABSENCES
These Regulations regulate the procedures for taking leave for continuing professional development and unpaid leave of the members of academic staff.
REGULATIONS FOR USE OF THE NAME OF THE UNIVERSITY
TThe name of the Hebrew University, its emblem, stationery bearing its name and its website belong to the University and are intended for use for the purpose of the objectives of the University in the framework of the conduct of its activity. Members of staff must ensure that any ascription to the University is correct and accurate.
ADDITIONAL WORK OUTSIDE OF THE UNIVERSITY
These Regulations are intended to regulate the conditions under which a member of the academic staff in a full time position may engage in additional work, and establish the procedure for submitting requests for additional work, as well as the procedure for their approval.
Procedure for the "Childhood and Parenting Leave" (Maternity Leave) of Members of the Senior Academic Staff
The purpose of this procedure is to determine adjustments in the academic activities of members of the senior academic staff at the Hebrew University as a result of childbirth and parenting, in recognition of the duty to respect the right to equality.
DISCIPLINARY REGULATIONS – STUDENTS
This statute details matters concerning student disciplinary offenses, the definition of offenses and punishments, the authorities for discipline, hearing procedures and appeals, mediation procedures with the Dean and more.

LIVING STIPENDS FOR MASTER’S DEGREE AND DOCTORAL STUDENTS
Living stipends are granted solely on the basis of academic considerations in order to enable the student to devote his/her time to the conduct of research at the University.

Regulations for research students
The Regulations for Research Students present specific issues related to Ph.D. students. However, other Regulations concerning students of the Hebrew University, such as NAHAL (regulations related to studies), tuition regulations, Students' conduct etc. apply to Ph.D. students as well.
Procedure for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment
The purpose of these Regulations is to ensure that the University is a safe working and study environment, devoid of any sexual harassment or intimidation of a sexual nature. The regulations details what Sexual harassment is, the Commissioner for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, the procedure for Reporting Sexual Harassment, the procedures, the Bodies in Charge etc.
Prohibition of Consensual Intimate Relations between Faculty Members and Students
The following arrangement prohibits Consensual Intimate Relations between Faculty Members and Students or when there is a work relationship of authority.
The rules do not detract from the regulations that apply to sexual harassment.
Code of Conduct in Research
The Hebrew University requires that its research workers adhere to the principles and rules laid out below in all aspects of their research, including: the planning and submitting of research proposals for funding; generating, documenting, analyzing and preserving data; appropriating, publishing, sharing and commercializing results.
Conflict of Interest Code
In carrying out research, research workers must be unbiased. Their professional judgment should at all times be exercised independently, and extraneous interests should never be permitted to influence them in any aspect of their research. The University requires disclosure of all interests that are, or might appear, likely to bias research or improperly to influence decisions which can affect its progress. Prohibition of Consensual Intimate Relations between Faculty Members and Students
Consensual intimate relations, including sexual relationships, whether temporary or ongoing, between a faculty member who has an academic authority over a student and the student, constitute a conflict of interest that jeopardizes the integrity of the educational process, creates an improper atmosphere for study and in our community, and may lead to abuse of authority.
